I don't think they are right, plus surely the native resolution of that panel is 1280x1024....?

Is it stretching to fit (ugly!) or drawing 1:1 (and therefore smaller than 17") ?

yeah, they're wrong, it depends on the refresh rate (higher is generally better)

1024x768 at home (I need a new monitor) and I always set the college ones I use (if I can) to 1024x768 because anything else looks nasty.

    Oh, and always maximised.

    1600x1200 windowed on a 19" CRT.

My brother uses 800x600 on a 17" LCD. It makes me cry. :waah:

1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024; all of these resolutions are commonly used to view bit-tech.net, depending on which room of the house Im in, or what building Im at :D

:eeek: I'm surprised that doesn't make HIM cry...!! HOW does he see wtf he's doing?? I mean, I'm forced to run 8x6 on my ancient laptop, but that's only a 12" TFT, and I STILL have to scroll all over the place to fit stuff in... :waah:

2 monitors, I keep the browser (Opera) windowed on the small 8x6 monitor cos it goes all funny if I max it. I am keeping it full screen size tho.

Oh I use the small second monitor because I have toooo many windows open on the 1280x768.
