Merry Christmas everybody! I'm working on completing a new build and have often liked being able to see the temperatures of the video card, motherboard and chip. Lately I've seen some computers with this information displayed on gauges on the desktop. I'd like to install software to do this for an xp system with a P5Q Deluxe and ATI 4850. Any suggestions what I should use? Thanks, Phil
If you need the temperature on the desktop all the time, then the informer widget for yahoo widgets has a speedfan reader. So you can set up speed fan to tell you the temps and what not, then have that boot on start up, and just have informer read from speedfan and output it on your desktop (top or bottom in its own bar) http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/informer
everest ultimate can display desktop temps, either as a widget in vista or in the taskbar in xp. if i was you i'd get everest ultimate as once you have you'll wonder how you ever got along without it, best diagnostic tool out there
There's a way to do it with Samurize, been ages since I've used it but you can customize it to your heart's content.
