    did you know that most networking equipment use's AMD chips?

    well I found some when I butchered some old equipment... MMac's, Aliyied Telesyn and some Dec stuffs...

    yeah i noted some of our OLD NE2000 cards had AMD chips on um

    Just about everything I've ever used are RealTek chipsets - either the 8029 (10Mbps) or 8139 (100Mbps) and yes they are both shitty but they're well supported by linux :) (8029 is ne2k compatible)

    hehe, i dont like realtek, Netgear fa310tx's are well supported under linux afaik, quite a few NIC's have delta chips on um too, wonder if its the same delta as the fans
