does any company make a different base for the microsoft explorer mouses? i really like my mouse, but would much rather have it be blue than red. if anyone knows, i want one.
I don't know of any, but I've been amused by the idea of making one from casting resin for some time. I just have been working on other things. You'd want to use RTV silicone to make a two-part mold, Google will turn of hundreds of howtos. Then get the resin and the coloring agent of your choice (hey, you can mix in sparkles if you like) and knock yourself out. If you're in the US, check out Delvie's for your supplies: http://www.delviesplastics.com/casting_resin.htm I've never seen the stuff that cheap. But you can usually get it at local hobby stores if you prefer.
Ive also toyed with the idea Oh and casting resin does shrink (I think this generaly depends on what type) when curing so getting a perfect match may be quite hard. Bah if only I had the time!
