I plan on putting two of these or something similar at the bottom of my case, but with that many LED's it might be too bright so could I get molex to 3/4 pin fan adapter and connect it to a fan header on my motherboard and lower it like I would lower a fan in the bios?

I think you should be able to use a fan controller.

LEDs don't use as much power as a fan so it should be fine.

The LEDs on my fans dim when I lower the voltage, although they don't dim that much. Depends on how low a voltage the fan controller will go down to.

You could make your own dials, maplins should have all the bits, probably just a pentitometer, or they probably already have knobs ready to go, you'd have to take a look.

But yes, a Fan controller would work, just make sure you get one which lowers the voltage down quite low.

I'm not sure if it would work to do it with the pc through the BIOS though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the yellow wire on a fan is the feedback(rpm) wire, and I would assume that if the bios doesn't know what speeds the fan is running at(such as using LED's with no feedback wire), then it won't let you adjust this, but without testing this out I wouldn't know.
With a fan controller it would work fine though, or just some dials like cerberus said :)

I would think it would work its just a variable resistor so it should work.

I've just ordered one of those LED strips as they only had one in stock, I'll post here with the results.

I've got the same strips ( in blue ) in my case, wired to a 3 channel fan controller that is powered from a 12v molex conector ( in parallel, one channel does a case fan, the other the lights, 3rd is spare currently ). Works perfectly fine & can control the brightness from off to maximum. I think you'll be fine :)
