Another help request thread I'm afraid. I finally decided to invest in Disney+ so I could binge watch The Mandalorian (mainly inspired by my recent purchase of the Lego Razor Crest). Last night, I sat down to watch it, but lo and behold, it kept freezing on the blue Disney+ logo splash screen. I tried a few other things, and this problem only appears if the splash screen is present (i.e. I can watch some of the films available). I've tried all the recommended solutions (restarting etc) but as always with generic solutions, this doesn't help. Any advice from anyone? Looks like I'll be cancelling my subscription and going the way of the high seas at the moment.
Computer hooked up to TV via HDMI. I googled a little to see what HDCP is and you're probably on the money. Strange, as I don't get problems with Netflix or Prime.
Are you dual screening, or is the TV the main screen? If dual screening, try unplugging extra and using TV as main one and make sure any sort of overlay software that might interrupt screen, afterburner etc is off. Disney and Sky go hard on their content protection. No old fire sticks etc you can use for easy life, lower power too. Disney app tends to be on everything
Of course the other thing could be your browser if you are non mainstream, have you tried the app from the microsoft store
Grr. Nincompoops is what I call them, then. I haven't tried my laptop yet though. I do have a PS3 connected that hasn't been turned on in several years... Ohh, will try that.
You damn legend! The app from the store makes it work. I was using Chrome, which I'm surprised doesn't work.
Yeah, I have Edge installed on my Linux desktop 'cos it's the only browser that'll play nice with all the streaming services and Microsoft's cloud gaming thing.
