    I had originally posted this on a SEO forum, but no-one is answering my question. I have always relied on the bit-tech forum for my vague questions, so here goes;

    Howdy.

    I neglected my blog for a year, and disabled the forum that I had with it.

    Last week, I logged on to see what was happening. The forum was still accessable, absolutely full of spam and dodgy topics with plenty of links. I uninstalled the forum, since I would like to get nice interested traffic rather then people searching for "free music download".

    I know google penalizes sites like this. Although the forum is disabled, I am still hyperlinked on old and dead forums, along with links that I do not want to be affiliated with.

    Will this die down now that I got rid of the forum? Or will it always be an issue now, and how does it effect my SEO?

    Any help is deeply appreciated!

    Kye.
