Hey guys Like the title What is the difference between those ? Will they effect speed ? Are they any better than the stock gigabyte yellow cables? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/43cm-Scan-Serial-ATA-Cable-SATAII-(RB-404) http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/50cm-SilverStone-CP01-SATAII-(3G)-Cable-Black http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/45cm-Akasa-SATAII-HDD-Cable-Clear Thanks
Anything is better than the stock yellow Gigabyte things! even UV Green cable braiding can't cover them up lol
speed is the same, but they look better. So yes, they are better While we are on that topic, why does gigabyte choose that horrible colour of yellow?
Above a certain level of quality it makes no difference but I did have a REALLY cheap looking thin SATA cable that gave me all sorts of hassle. The ones that clip are generally better than those that just push on. You can also get ones with right angled plugs.
Presuming that both SATA I and II cables have the same amount of bandwidth (which the actual interface doesn't, SATA II has twice as much), then there is no difference, apart from shape and colour, between the different SATA cables.
