Driver Updates

    Not sure if it would be possible but could you show the difference in performance from the first driver revison to the second latest to the latest:blah:

    Would be interesting but it would vary from game to game and card to card, possibly even from AMD to Intel. It would take forever to test and most of the info (for Nvidia's part anyway) is on their website, for the latest gen at least.

    I only raise the point after reading on the Nvidia driver page:

    Increases performance for GeForce 400 Series and 500 Series GPUs in several PC games vs. v266.58 WHQL drivers.

    # Up to 516% in Dragon Age 2 (SLI 2560x1600 8xAA/16xAF Very High, SSAO on)
    # Up to 326% in Dragon Age 2 (1920x1200 8xAA/16xAF Very High, SSAO on)

    Although very specific thats a significant performance increase!

    I believe the previous drivers weren't written with that game in mind, and there was most likely some inefficient code the has now been changed to make the game run smoother.

    The figures just show how bad the situation was initially, and that the performance problems should now have been dealt with.
