Windows dvd ripping software?

    hi i would like to put my dvd`s in divx/xvid format on my hd but dont know which software to us. i used dr. divx but i´am not pleased with it. could somebody give me an advise what to use?

    I like DVDx 'cos it has a preview thingy that shows you where it's at, but you can't turn it off(not that I've found anyway) so if you don't have the greatest system then I suggest you try to find a program called dvd rip 'n burn

    edit: if you read the .BUP, .IFO, etc files off of your DVD drive then be sure you set whatever program you use to use a buffer, you'll kill your drive eventualy
