I have a Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card which has a DVI-I port that I want to run to my Westinghouse LVM-42w2 LCD TV. I have one component and two DVI ports free on the monitor.

I am trying to figure out the best cable (DVI-I to Component? DVI-I to DVI?). I am getting a tv capture card and want to playback on the 42" tv...

Suggestions on which one to get? Is there a benefit to one over the other (HDCP? quality?)

    thanks-

DVI-DVI for sure, you dont want to go DVI to component, keep it digital. The 9700 wont have any sort of HDCP, you'll need the most recent generation of cards (and even then you need to check) in order to get that over DVI.
