Displays dvi to hdmi hd 5770 problem(?).

    hi i have a problem i just upgraded to an hd 5770 but im haveing a problem im useing a dvi to hdmi dvi to card hami to my 36 inch lcd tv @1280x768@60hz the problem is when i boot up and soon as the windows main screen loads and i click my mouse the picture cuts out then at the top corner of my lcd it says hdmi then gose back to my main screen it dose this twice then things are fine but iv had 4 cards in my pc and they have not had a problem any clues people (((?))) or could it be old drivers knokin around since iv had 2 nvidia cards in my system before i upgraded...:confused::sigh:

    Oh my goodness, now I can actually figure out what you're asking.
    First, with your other cards, did you use the same HDMI cable, converter, and monitor? It could be that the monitor searches for signals and doesn't pick it up right away. Second, did you properly uninstall all of the drivers before you installed your HD5770?

    First, make sure you check the power connections on the video card.
    Failing that, you might try this:
    1. Turn the monitor off.
    2. Remove the HDMI cable from the monitor.
    3. Turn the monitor back on and wait a minute or two.
    4. Turn the monitor off.
    5. Insert the HDMI cable again.
    6. Turn the monitor back on.
    7. Reboot.
    Tell me if that helps.

    tried them all so i have sent the card back...

    sorry if sound ungrateful i thank you for your help but i noticed objects disappearing in games and freacky waves on my screen in black ops and crysis and farcry even fallout .

    and it had this funny type of glue splashed on the hdmi port when i had a close look at it when i took it out my pc :confused:
