I can use css and html without problem and am pretty fluent in them.

However i am trying to make a website at the moment which has a content management system so people can add their own bits without my help. Anyone anything easy to use?
Most i have seen seem really complex to intergrate with what i have!

    Thanks

The main question is what is the site for?

There is a excellent site you can use to take a look at good open source cms packages for a variety of purposes though to help your search

    http://www.opensourcecms.com/

Just look down on the left hand menu and you can try out any of the packages available as well as read feedback on them.

And is massively limited and restrictive if you don't want your site to just be a basic blog.

Learn how to write your own. It'll take you a while to start with, but it'll be worth the effort.

Well it can be (and is often) done, but for the most part you're right. However, I've yet to find anything with an easier to use back-end, and I work for a commercial CMS company.
