Easy to use graphic design software suggestions

Hello, I use to use Macomedia Fireworks for graphic design but it is a bit outdated now, please can anyone suggest any alternative programs that are very easy to use and effective for graphic design.?

 

Try inkscape, open source and vector based. Probably tutorials on YouTube.

 

I have been using inkscape for GT Sport logos, seems really easy to use, aided by youtube tutorials when I get stuck on something.

IME excellent alternatives to the Adobe bunch at a fraction of the price, if Inkscape doesn't float your boat.

 

I am going to give inkscape a go, from what I have looked at it seems like a good bet.

 

Paint.net for Photoshop functionality. Free, easy to use, lots of plug-ins around, and actually pretty powerful.

 

Krita is another option... though i think that's more skewed towards digital painting.

or if you properly hate yourself, GIMP
