I'm looking for a small laptop to run some amateur radio software, this is also a good excuise to get something like the eee :naughty:

But, I need XP, which isn't a problem, would be good to boot both linux and XP, but i'm not too bothered, the biggie is the line-in, I've read that theres a software switch that make the Mic socket toggle to a Line-in, is this correct? and does it function under XP?

I don't know very much about the eee, but if there isn't any way to get it to work, you could just pick up a cheap usb sound card. Or even something a little more powerful, with a decent mic preamp and whatnot.
