Okay, so I've got a few spare credits on Windows Azure, and I thought it might be an idea to try something a little fun.
So, there is now a Feed The Beast DireWolf20 1.6.4 Pack (v1.0.19, as that's the current latest release) server running on a VM with 2cores and 3.5GB of RAM in their US East datacenter.

A Whitelist is in place, so please let me know your Minecraft ID if you want in - hopefully whitelisting will keep griefing down somewhat.

The server is running at bit-tech-mc.cloudapp.net, has more than enough bandwidth, and should have enough CPU and RAM for 20 players or so. If we need to scale it up at a later date, I'm sure a donation link or something can be set up.

So, drop me a line if you want in.

Okay, server's been updated.

It's now running the new v1.0.2 of the new Direwolf20 1.6.4 pack. Enjoy!

 

That's a kind offer. Minecraft ID is Bedeage. I haven't been playing much this last year or two (or three) but it'd be nice to pootle around in the forests again.

On a side note, there's a lot of potash round you. I hope no one you know was hurt in PCS' layoffs.

And just 'cause, there's now a 30-slot TS3 server running on the same IP. Should be open to all.

 

Server updated to pack version 1.0.7 (Wow, this thing's updating quickly!)

 

And updated again to 1.0.9 (Current latest - "Recommended" is 1.0.8 until DW approves the update, but we're going live now).

 

Server's up, and has been updated to pack version 1.0.11.
