Hmmm, I guess I will have to find a hotspot or come back to uni tomorrow as I have no internet at home. I will show my support.
I'm signed up, I use IE7 at home and hate it only because I am too lazy to switch, will do it for the new release. I use firefox at work and it's great . Working with PC's at work means I just can't be bothered to spend so much time on my own at home! Get fed up of installing software and patches and updates blah blah.
When EXACTLY is the realise. It says the 17th, but will that be the 17th when it starts in one of the US timezones, or will be it released on the very start of the 17th (midnight) in each seperate timezone? I will be up at midnight and I want to download it. Just found on the firefox forums that it will be GMT -8 (Pacific Time) So when I get woken up by my girlfriend to take her to town in the morning I can download it.
I just checked a couple minutes before coming here and it wasn't operational yet for downloads. So who knows which time zone or if they're starting at some random time during the day...
English versions try US Windows http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.0&os=win&lang=en-US EDIT: US link fixed. Gives a direct file download OS X http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.0&os=osx&lang=en-US Linux http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.0&os=linux&lang=en-US
You LIE!!! I thought they would have anticipated this amount of traffic, well clearly they did hence the world record lark. So why can the servers not deal with it.
The pledge page appears to have gone and there's only FF2 available at Moz... However, I have my copy, but it's not the UK version. Timestamp is 11 June. edit: Have a UK version, same timestamp but all the folders have today's date. ftp://mozilla.isc.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0/win32/en-GB
Yeah on the download map, the download firefox 3 link just takes you to the FF2 page. The words epic fail come to mind. Just giving me a file not found. Maybe its been pulled
