I know I'm probably dreaming here.

I'd like to take my current CPU, RAM and videocard and get them into a Shuttle. I'm worried about power though. The card in question is an Asus v9950 Ultra

Any suggestions on a possible Shuttle model that would be up to the task?

any shuttle with the SilentX 250w PSU would probably power it fine :). Can't help you with exact model though.

There's no doulbt that any shuttle PSU can cope with that setup (even the old 200W models). To chose which shuttle you want the best thing is to go to their main site and see what takes your fancy. Alternatively, ask lots of questions on some SFF forums to make sure you'll get peak performance.

Yeah, that was actually the one I was drooling over. You guys really think a 250w PSU can do it? The only reason I ask is because have heard all kinds of stories about the Ultras being really power hunger (what with the molex for power directly from the PSU) and that a 300w was the minimum.

Man I hope it can do it... sff boards are a lot more efficient, right?

I've seen a 3.5GHz P4 prescott, dual raptors, DVD-RW, 1 gig or high spec RAM and a 6800 ultra, all OC'd with lota fans running off a 250W PSU. My sig spec is running on a 250W PSU no problems and it's quiet! YEY! :D

The Shuttle PSU's are quite high quality, much higher than most PSU's.

A 250W Shuttle PSU will do ya fine :).
