I bought a Trip 35 from the car boot that wasn't working (they said it was) for £5. I ordered some new light seals and a skin and got to work checking the meter, fixing the aperture blades and giving it a good clean. This is what happened...

The meter was fine but the aperture blades were stuck. I cleaned them with lighter fluid and lubricated them with some graphite shaved from a 3B pencil. The front, middle and rear lens elements were cleaned and then I went to work on the body. The skin and seals are from http://aki-asahi.com/store/

Now I just have to check I haven't knocked the focus out!
