I found this half way down this page and it seems its great for removing scratches from ipod screens... Theres also a comment on the scratch remover site about it being useful for ipods. Dunno about paying 7 quid for it but i'll probably end up getting some for mine. Hope thats helpful to someone. Alex
Get some of that car polish on it, whats it called? G4 or something? Works a treat and much cheaper (get it out your dads shed if he's a mechanic )
ive been looking for some stuff like this in the uk, ever since some other person got hold of my ipod and scratched the screen, post some before / after photos please? if i do get this ill have to buy an iskin also
I have that! Well I had it to be precise. I bought it for my previous phone, the screen was full with scratches Guess what phone it was? (total coincidence) It was a Siemens S45, as in the pictures !! It worked really well, I think it will work the same way on a iPod screen. But what I advice is that u buy some plastic sheets for PDA screen protection. I use it on my new phone. Just cut out a piece the size of ur screen and stick it on ! good luck L
Here's a tip for free not the £6.99 or whatever it was. If you use toothpaste (minty white one) on the screen, then use a rag to rub it in it will work extremely well to remove any of the scratches (not deep ones though) and will also leave the screen tasting minty.
As kill_me_quick says, it really does work. I did it to an siemens that i used to have and it works wonders. Just be careful that it doesnt go down the gaps at the side of the screen cos its damn hard to get out...
i will try the toothpaste thing on my ipod, but if it makes me screen turny milky white, you owe me a new iPod, Kill me quick
Nore does my PDA although i was watching resident evil on it which exposed ot to teh world hehe looks good though might have to have a look into this morgan.
I wouldnt try the toothpaste on the pda, might kill the touchscreen. I wouldnt try it on mine. well it would leave it minty wouldnt it (using a minty toothpaste)
I have used that exact product on my cellphone. Yes, it does work but I would only recommend it for "light" scratches. Takes a hell of a lot of rubbing to remove them.
i tryed the toothpaste, and it took off a few TINY recent surface scratches, but didn't do much more, bah useless!
I've heard that t-cut works as well but please don't take my work for it... I don't want to be responsible for destroying any ipod goodness.
Use a bit more toothpaste then, macleans whitening is always good. U cant use any of the gel type's because there made differently. Has always worked for me, but it wont take out the massive cuts (obviously)
U kno why the toothpaste works dont ya? Like the G2 stuff, it has little grainy bits in which naw away at the surface really gently, removing the scratches! Add sand for a special effect
i think all my scratchs are to deep, it took out a few surface ones, but the rest are to deep i think
