Yes I saw that, and it's a great idea for vertical tube reservoirs, which I personally love, but lots of people do like bay reservoirs and to leave something like that out on a case that is intended for water and does a great job elsewhere seems a shame.
Even the inclusion of just 1 optical bay or some way of accommodating the usual things that might go there would make a difference.
Optical drive bays are still very useful things to have, even if not for the drive itself.

That seems like a good plan. I can't be the only one who still uses a DVD drive.

Then this case is not for you, grab a different one. Not every case needs to suit everyone.

Well no, that much is apparent, which is also why I made my original comment about them not thinking about people who might want to use fan controllers.

The thing is, if you want a Fractal ATX case with optical drive bays then you can still just go out and buy an R5. At the end of the day, more choice is a good thing, and every case can't suit every person's needs.

This. Less materials and tooling here = lower price. Define R5 for those who want ODD bays, Define S for those who don't

Why not mod a hole in the front and use the tube res mounts to make a bracket for the ODD bay? Problem solved! :thumb:
