Please could some one tell me how to wire this connection on my mother board to a head phone and mic socket , not quite sure what all the connections mean in the diagram?

Line Out L/R - Audio output
BLine Out L/R - Speaker input. When you have a case with front audio jacks, the headphone one has a switch with two contacts inside of it. These contacts are connected to the BLine contacts and when nothing is inserted in the jack, these contacts inside the jack are connected to the contacts connect to Line Out. When you plug something in, this connection is severed. Effectively, this cuts off the audio signal from the speakers if you put in headphones. Note that the roles these two sets of contacts make might be reversed.
    +5VA - +5v output for microphone
AGND - Ground for Mic and Heaphones
MICPWR - Same as +5VA unless I'm mistaken
    MIC2 - Microphone input signal.
    NC - No connection.

You said you wanted to wire this to a headphone and mic socket, does that mean a single 3.5mm socket intended for headsets or two sockets, one for headphones, one for microphone?
