    Hi @ all

in the last weeks we were participating in a modding contest where we had to mod any type of input devices. So we first made a short brainstorming...with the result that we choose an idea which we already wanted to build in the last year...but back then we didn´t had enough time....so the contest was a good point to recover that idea and start over.

The idea is pretty simple....take an old wireless keyboard apart and put the electronics inside a Softair G36. Together with a beamer an a webcam...it should be a real nice input system for playing FPS Games

The setup for playing games would look like this...

That will be the enclosure for the keyboard electronics....

and that is the keyboard we took apart for the electronics....

and that is all we want from the keyboard :D

As next step, it was time to disassemble the Softair Gun...

then we choose the right spots for the buttons we´re going to use ....

But the first thing we really integrated into the gun, was the battery holder....

After that we took apart an old gamepad, which we had in our workshop just for the different parts in it....we only wanted one of the 2 axis switches out of it....so that we can use it for the WASD Motion Control ....

    to be continued...

there was an "controller"-gun with accelerometers for positioning...
when i saw it i'm also think about placing small (7" or smth) screen on iron-sight for more depth...

and try to use different colors of wire... there could be real PITA for debugging...
