http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=24681 Not sure how I feel about this one. Surely this is a monopoly for Game Stores Group? What does this mean for high-street games retail? (P.S. Wasn't sure where to post this thread so Mods, move as appropriate please).
Bad news in two ways. 1. GAME is now a monopoly, (remember EB taking over GAME, rebranding?) which leaves us with one major specialist game store. 2. Gamstation is way cheaper than GAME and now I don't think it will be, they always did good prices for second hand games.
I guess that means their trade-in values will be even lower than they already are and they probably now won't allow it unless it's sealed or something daft. It'll also probably mean an end to the great 360 bundles they do too.
I've always prefered Game to gamestation. I could not take back my 360 after a couple months of use before it broke since they only do 28 day faulty return policy... pretty shoddy. Game have a 1 year return policy for faulty consoles...
Thats bad of them, by law they have to accept it, someone just couldn't be bothered to deal with it, it seems. If anyone says anything like this, just kick up a fuss, possibly drop the words trading followed by standards and they will cave in.
