The Canoptek Reanimator can go **** itself. Jesus that model is an arsehole to build, and an even bigger arsehole to paint. Although I am now done with the Indomitus Necrons that I wanted to paint. Which means I need to stop namby-pamby-ing around and get started on the assault intercessors.
Yup, definitely need to pick up some of these fellas now. The Overlord is selling for a fiver on Ebay so that'll be a purchase and I think I may be going for the top left spider type fella too.
Skorpekh Lord, if I remember rightly. It's not a bad model, although I wonder whether the non-press fit one will be better. There's a few spindly bits that are an arse to get right and if you don't get 'em right they bend when they're looked at.
Good lord, Black Templar out of an airbrush covers so well. It's almost impossible to see how I endured painting black without it.
I won the tall spindle drone-like necron in a twitch stream on Saturday, so I can't wait to paint that up once it arrives.
Tip: Don't glue together until after painting. Having that kind of access would have made life a lot easier!
Interesting, looks like the bandai models are going with the preorder system @Almightyrastus has been wanting for some time. I wonder if this is a way for them to trial the system without their manufacturing having to be involved for the sake of data.
Yeah, that's the same way that they did them last time. Big fan although I am still unsure if the cost of the Bandai ones are worth it though, but we shall see. On another note, the new female guard veteran sergeant model that was only going to be available for store openings is going on sale from all stores this saturday and will also be available to order a bit later. I think that will end up being a made to order thing as well, I did post a thank you on GW's FB post about that, commenting that this was a great way of doing the limited release stuff. Sure we have to wait, but hey at least we get them. No response from them other than liking the comment, but at least someone saw it.
So I managed to grab Miss Badass over the weekend and finally got her all built and stuff, awesome figure, really nice to see a more delicate model in terms of the parts size. Kinda gotten used to building marines and orks lately so big on the chunky. So many parts to this though, 14 small parts, even the base is 4 parts before you add her to it. Put the model next to the event Lt. Amulius and it is awesome to see the scale difference finally right. She's meant to be a big strong girl, but he dwarfs her completely, just what we wanted to see.
While reading Mechanicum again, I picked up an Armiger knight of the bay. Think I might try airbrushing if I can get the GW paints thin enough.
Nice, those Armigers are some pretty fun models. The "new Epic" scale ones have some awesome bits that can be used for 40k bionics and conversions.
