reposting cuz no one replied in the hardware forum! my logitechs broke the sound on them has gone incredibly buzzy. i've tried a cheap set of in ear head phones which work fine, so it's definately the headset. massively upset cuz i did like them and now i need new ones. these are the ones i had: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-St...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1213716316&sr=8-1 i just wana know what you use and if you got any suggestions? the primary use will be gaming and listening to music and a little voip. i want it to be USB, have a mic, and also work with a mac and pc (i skype a lot on my mac) it's also got to be pretty durable, i have a habit of giving my headset a few unneccessary knocks. if it can be wireless in someway that also be very appealing as i've developed clutters of wire all over the place, but this isn't a desperate thing...it would just be very nice budget ideally £30 tops, i paid about £25 for my logitechs at the time, but then wished i'd bought better. but if you can recommend anything worthwhile i'll look into it
SteelSeries' Steelsound 5H v2 for the motherloving win. The most comfy headset I've ever used, with great sound quality and a retractable microphone. They even come apart easily so you can pop them in a drawer. http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2006/09/12/Steel_Series_Gaming_Kit/1
I use these Plantronics Audio 370 Analogue Gaming Headset: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-Audio-Analogue-Gaming-Headset/dp/B000N39I4I GORGEOUS.

I was impressed by the 360 wireless headset, so I bought the PC version (it's just a black 360 wireless headset with the usb reciever). However, I've yet to get it to work properly in either XP or Vista.
you could get the creative fatal1ty headset. i intend to get one since its at a good price, good quality and looks pretty good. i belive overclockers uk is selling a set for 23 quid incl. vat. when you add shipping, it comes to about 27 quid, plus, you get a free game (call of juarez...which you can sell)
i just use my SkullCandy headphones, and stick a mic on the desk in front of me. but my computer is so ruddy loud, you can't hear me! lols Joe
