Hi have been asked to recommend a gaming laptop but to be honest im not sure what the best ones are. I would guess that the new AMD laptops will be reasonably good but have not seen any yet.

    screen size 15" +

    Budget £500 or less

    Thanks.

Look at the Dell XPS series. They are quite fancy.

Don't get a Hp laptop they are the worst built laptops on the market.

Look on the dell out let site there you can pick up a decent 15" XPS laptop with a i3, 3gb, 320b hdd and a 420GT for just under £500

Also here is a comparison of all the laptop gpu's http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-420M.35837.0.html

Some decent Dell offers can be found here:

The Insirion 15(R) with i5 2410 & GT525m is a good base for £579ish. A little over budget but has a strong CPU and decent enough GPU (enough for 1366x768 and medium settings in most games).

I'd agree against HP. But sadly, with that budget you're just a bit short of the good stuff. Especially for "gaming", if you could go to at least 600ish you'd have an easier time.
