Im intrigued to know from who are paying for dedicated or shared servers feel is lacking in the game hosting industry, just wanting a bit of feed back.

Any 1 can provide fast servers, but that ends up in the end user with higher rental costs, im looking into possible sorting some deals out for game hosting services on either dedicated or shared servers and essentially need to know, what i need to do different to win any business.

Whether it be control of the server via, control of setting up games, lack if choice of games, bad SLA's etc etc. It's all appreciated.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Guarantee 24 hour a day up-time, if it goes down customer gets a refund, allow the customer a high amount of control of the server, a good way is to use a game control panel that is graphically user friendly for people perhaps new to game server hosting.

For every game you host, learn about it. The one reason i love Gamesmajor.co.uk is because I can click onto MSN, and speak to the admin for advice and he'll have an answer.

i found a control pannel that offers lot of control, all in GUI, much like C-Panel for web hosting, it includes patching, ip allocation, voice comms, ticket systems etc. Its nothing new tbh, but very useful and important for the end user.

Guaranteeing 24x7 uptime is a tough one as very often it can be outside of the control of the company who is hosting th servers i.e. down the enviroment it sits in, in the data center. But yea i like it.

    More feedback Please :eek:D

there isn't a datacenter that can garantee 100% uptime, althou there is alot of them that are very close around 99,8%.
althou if the costumeer get a hour based refund or something like that for lost uptime. I think it will win you customers, althou it will make you loose cash as the DC won't refund you!
