    Hey guys

This is my first time posting on this forum so sorry if I'm breaking every single rule by posting here but please don't be a hater.
Anyway I'm in last year of secondary school and for one of my GCSE's I'm building a PC case from scratch. I'll be finding old PC cases in the school and just flattening the metal into sheets then working from there. So I'm kind of recycling them:thumb:.
I will be hopefully in bedding two custom reservoirs in it to fill up some empty space and provide me with water cooling.

I don't have much money, well do any of us at this time of year?, so I'm really great full to CryoPC for offering me some parts to get my project started. And I'd also like to thank QuietPC for offering me some cooling equipment.

But if anyone wants and more info check my website at http://gcseenginepcmod.mfbiz.com/

Thanks guys and just like comment and give tips and feedback.

    Thankyou.

Well you know the internet is full of haters. And I was just trying to get feedback on what people thought about my project.

Looks good, might want to correct some typos/spelling/grammar mistakes on your website if you want to attract sponsors.

lol ok thank you mate. Never been strong at English. Do you know if it'll be hard to make reservoirs? I was planning to make them out of acrylic. And we have a laser cutter. But will like water pressure be too much and just break it. Because first time I water cool I don't want to wreck all my hardware.

Was a bit harsh earlier (also the site didn't work).

The rules still say that something must have been done before starting the log (links to logs elsewhere belong to the Modding-sub forum).

Anyway good luck with the project and indeed try to fix those typos, as there's lots of them on the site. Gives way better image to the possible sponsors.

A few more points from the website:

The School will supply me with all the metal I need but I wills till need PC conponents and cooling equipment to build a PC inside the case.

This is because my case would not fit a bit enough size graphics card before.

Also you could reword the previous design page, as "the one I am not making" sounds a bit odd.

The design looks interesting and it's definitely a good idea to make something you actually want and will use unlike others who just make some generic table (I did resistant materials GCSE nearly 2 years ago and made a laptop cooler). Makes it a lot easier to put any extra work in and you will find it much more interesting.

Only problem with doing it as a coursework project is that you might have to make parts a bit less adventurous/interesting due to deadlines, and remember that you don't need something complicated to get good marks as long as it is written up and designed well.

Modeled up my top piece of acrylic on 2d design.
The red bits will be cut-the black engraved
I'm considering putting black paint in the engravings to make them stand out

You're finding your Bit-Tech feet, so we'll let you off lol
Using recycled materials is a BIG bonus in modding circles. Good for the environment AND your wallet. Am I right in saying you have a couple sponsors already? CryoPC and QuietPC? Nice work!
Be sure to post some pics up in this thread as the build commences, and good luck :thumb:

PS the Engine case idea looks awsum

    Hi guys
I just need your opinion on something. Which reservoir design do you think looks best?? This first diamond one. Or this second cylinder one.

In sticking to the Engine theme, how about a huge custom made radiator with a fan on the front :p , you could reposition the Drive Bays at the top... just an idea :p

Also, I love the idea of recycling the cases AND the exposed reservoirs

I'm sorry to say it, but that does in no way look like an engine?
Although I do like the first of your reservoir designs.

I quite like the diamond shaped res's, the way they seem to merge into the shape of the engine block. Probably gonna be a PITA to make though. That said both designs are good, but the diamond one looks nicer, IMHO.

Good luck with school tomorrow, take care and happy modding :D
