It's not "Normal Vs Hardcore", Its "Normal Vs Getting-shot-in-the-back-by-retards-on-your-team-for-fun-griefing-or-for-your-vehicle"

So far I'ev played on 3 HC servers (including Ziip), and within seconds I was TK'd

Can anyone recommend a decent headset? Feel like I need to jump on voice chat.

Also on monumental but funny cockups, I killed an enemy who jumped out his tank before I finished it off last night, and then ran to repair but pressed the wrong button and pulled out, and fired my RPG point blank into the side of the tank!

HC is great, I play both formats and it just depends on your game at the time and the server you play. With HC you have to think before you fire. Most of the time when I've been team killed it's at the start of a match when people are running for vehicles. At that point the driver needs to be more vigilant as there are so many players on foot heading for the objective. I recommend the ZiiP server for HC.

The only problem I have with HC is getting run over while repairing a team-mate's tank, but I'm getting better at anticipating movements and getting out of the way.

I love the fact that it's simpler (and more "realistic") to sneak up on people when you don't have a red triangle hanging over your head because everyone spot you 5 times by the time you crossed the frontline.

I like the extra damage (or low health).

I love that having a medic near you (or playing as one) means you get healed (assuming there's medkits) while on Normal it just means you get healed faster.

Generally though, I play both modes.

I got the Razer Carcharias recently because of the great score it got on this site. The only problem is that it "leaks" sound quite a lot, which doesn't bother me really; it's more a problem for the others :p
It's the only headset I've had so far that doesn't hurt my ears after a few hours. I can barely feel it on my head.

Not your fault at all. Being a n00b I did not know it would catapult me off as soon as you moved.

    Me too!

The flags feel closer on Karkand and man is it weird to play on it again. Takes a bit of time getting use to where you are on it even though it was my most played map on bf2.

yes i kno what they are. need to know inputs from BF2 veterans for comparisons :D

    man i cant wait..........

btw, that PP-19 looks like a beast if the stats is correct. thats like a 900rpm UMP-45 with 50-bullets clip :D

and the semi-auto sniper needs to be tested too. 2.75km range. low recoil. arrgh so many to try.

hows the new LMG, Nal? i see uve unlocked it.

It's very very good. Great range, lower rate of fire, so very controllable. Snap shots will see you sitting pretty. Nice reload time due to it being a drum-mag rather than a box or belt. Accurate as hell too, but slow to bring to bear. Nicely balanced.
