Well cock, I had pre-ordered it already with Tesco and they take payment immediately, oh well, was only £5 more.

Cool, I'll probably pick myself up another copy since I've already got one pre-ordered for £40. I assume it'll only be one copy per student?

It doesn't matter if they've already taken payment, you can still ring them up and cancel it (the Tesco Direct site is crap and doesn't allow you to cancel orders yourself) since they haven't shipped it yet, or any time before the 7 day period you're entitled to in the DSR.

Jesus, I'm going to have to buy this. £30 is too good a price for an OS that I actually enjoy using, and use everyday.

This is pretty smart, for 30 quid who would bother using a pirate version?
And lets face it students are some of the worst down-loaders!

I'm definitely going to be jumping on this.

Home Premium is pretty good, but Pro is slightly better. Have a look at the compare thingy to see which versions can do what.

According to the offer site you'll be able to get Home Premium or Professional for £30. They might want to change the offer to make Pro more expensive, but either way it's a bargain.

That's a good deal. I got Vista Ultimate through the ultimate steal deal last year. I agree with speedlegion.

If it carries on getting any cheaper, MS will soon be paying us to take it off them!

hmmm, I'm still getting emails forwarded on from my uni address so I wonder if I can abuse this offer. If not I'm sure I can tap up a uni friend for their code.

shame it's not £30 for Ultimate, since they are already giving out Pro
