Reality check this week when I took my youngest to University...
Where did those last 18 years go?

Congrats Alex, the time flies. It’s a long time and yet no time at all since they were babies and toddlers.
Feeling old? My eldest will be 24 at Christmas! How’d that happen?

    Your wee man, school already?

Hope he doesn't do what I did on day 2 of school... There'd been a big build up about me going to school, second morning I apparently said to my Mum, "But I've been to school...!"
There was me little knowing that I'd be there for the next 13 years

Yup I too have a young adult now who simultaneously wants nothing to do with me anymore as she's too busy adulting but also still wants me to pay for all the things...... the cheek of it :D

My daughter is also 18 and I do wonder where all the time went, I don't feel old but the face in the mirror betrays me :D

I remember when I was the young one on the internet reading threads like this. Now at 46, I'm the grandad with an 8 month old grandbaby. :waah:

I count it a blessing to be able to even see my girls after the 5h1t the harpy is pulling.

Aye it's a real result, I haven't seen my bio son for three years, or had any news or contact at all

    Ah mate! <3

I'm super lucky - the last few years my daughter has found Punk, which is my thing, so we go to gigs together most weekends! Other than that, we never see her as she's in her bedroom - but the weekends are fire.
