Decided that M-ITX for my gaming PC (see signature) is not for me so I am moving back to M-ATX and am looking at this case. http://tinyurl.com/o7a3ax2 Anyone have any views on this case?
It's ugly . Why not wait a bit for Prodigy M ? http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/prodigy-m Or if you want SG09 layout, at least get the "not so ugly" SG10 : http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=392
I have just gone back to MATX from MITX. I bought a Fractal Design Arc Mini. Cracking case IMO. Review here:- http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2011/06/22/fractal-design-arc-mini-review/1
Hold up just one moment there Tonto... why people going back to MATX? (I'm current looking at an ITX build is the reason I ask)
Already have a Prodigy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGuVBpW6w6Y Will have a look at your other suggestion though. Do not like it at all, it is so boring to look at and I am not keen on 2 drive bays as I rarely use them and if I do it will only be one so I prefer only to have the single bay. Thanks for the suggestions.
+1 for this - picked one up here 2nd hand and it's a great little case EDIT: Just seen your reply - get an Air 540 would be my suggestion though if I was buying for me
I only use one HDD (and an SSD), so removed the top drive cage..just one thumbscrew, so easily done. I take your point about the looks although it does look better 'in the flesh'. I have an 'all black' desktop, so it suits my world.
Probably more than I want to pay as I seem to change my mind all to often on cases and a few months down the line I will probably be looking for something else.
I am sure I have had one in the past and a valid suggestion. But I like my bling, lights and all paint jobs. I might just get my original choice as I need one sharpish as I managed to fry my motherboard yesterday and although it seems to power up I am getting nothing on the monitor. So I need a case to put the M-ATX mobo I have sitting and bung in the rest of the components. Why do we continue to tweak when everything is running sweet? Do we grave destruction and expense?
Cheers ferret141 as I did miss it. For me personally it was the lack of space to do the simplest of things, like connecting cables ETC. Plus I was not happy with the overall airflow and/or temps. But Mainly it was the lack of space for my manly man sized fingers.
Well, you still got the options of Silverstone PS07, TJ08-E, FT03. Or wait a bit for Cooltek U3 (not sure about the airflow in this one) : http://www.cooltek.de/cubes/u3/92/u3
I have a modded FT03 went off it. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showpost.php?p=3413378&postcount=1 but will have a look at your other suggestions.
I like the look of the Cooltek U3's but it does not seem you can get them in the UK. Shame as they have colour. Nice.
Probably just get this until something better comes along. http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_0798.html No I won't.
This seems to happen quite a lot. I went MATX from full ATX once and it drove me nuts. Not being able to run multiple GPUs was the biggest no no ever.
