    hey

i`ve been accepted for aberdeen uni to do a MA in computing, as i`m gone to be staying in the halls of residence which are by now all wirless internet access.

i`m looking for a pci/-ex or usb card/stick it should have a high performance and it should cost no more then £50 at the v most.

i`ve already had a look but i`m not really up to date with wireless and whats good and whats bad. and i dont really trust the product reviews on the retailer sites.

    Thanks for ure time

I would say you wouldn't go wrong with one of the new Netgears: Netgear rangemax Dual Band Wireless-N

The range is much much further, and speeds are upto 270mb:

    hope that helps

My new Vista Core 2 Duo is up and running and I went with D-Link USB model WUA-1340. My first USB wireless dongle. Dirt cheap - mine came from WalMart and so far it's reliable. Comes with an extension USB dock with about a meter long cord.
    Good luck in school!
