    I originally wasn't too bothered by RISC-V but after doing some research it actually seems like a really promising and important project.

    It would indeed! (Well, technically, Zürich, but what's a little diæresis between friends?)
    I'd have to look up the precise quote, but I recall someone saying they'd set up an entire fabless semi company based on the RISC-V ISA for less cash than it would have cost to even begin the process of getting an Arm licence...
