It isn't, it's merely what happened.

Whether it be down to Chrome or my Vista machine hating every single piece of software ever I'm not entirely sure lol

You've been outmoded, I'm been doing this across multiple tabs for weeks now*

    ;)

Oh, I also write it all down, it's good to keep a hard copy of the internet around just in case

Got to go, I'm trying to work on picking up wi-fi by counting my brain cells that turn cancerous.

Have they fixed the omnibar stripping the URI?
It's such a pain in my environment here.

http://88.88.88.88 shows as: 88.88.88.88 in the omni bar.
You copy: 88.88.88.88 and paste it - and LO! the URI is back! - but no chrome, I only wanted the ip address, you smug turd you.

other than that, Chrome is my favorite browser...

When Chome natively supports smooth scrolling I'll use it, the function provided by extensions are at this time... rubbish.

I had to give up on that Firefox Sync feature. Getting Unknown error while synciing and I have tried deleting my Firefox profile folder and starting over from scratch several times. I guess the server data is messed up, and there doesn't seem to be a way to reset it completely without making a new account. And I really only wanted it for bookmarks syncing between my laptop and gaming pc. Guess I can keep tabs on my bookmarks myself when it comes down to it.

Meh, I'm still refusing to use Chrome due to it's annoying bookmarks handling (although I have no idea if they fixed it). Yes, I want my bookmarks toolbar to be able to overflow into a dropdown, but NO I do not want all of my frigging bookmarks to appear there! Is having a separate bookmarks menu and toolbar too much to ask?

As long as I've used it, it hasn't been like that. On the very end of the bookmarks toolbar, past the "overflow" drop down is an "Other bookmarks" drop down, that has the rest of them in.

holy crap people seriously found chrome's settings to be "unwieldy"? who the hell is THAT dumb? seriously, if you find anything about chrome to be more challenging than any other browser, you have problems

Exactly my problem. ALL of your other bookmarks appear there, rather than just the toolbar bookmarks that don't fit.

Flash has been ridiculous recently on chrome. I came very close to moving across to firefox after a quite a few crashes.

    I sense a trollface.jpg.

It still strips the URI: http:// is not present in the omni bar!

Agree, though I would've been less harsh! The settings menu in Chrome is, in my experience, the easiest to use.

Chrome is fast I guess but I've never liked the placement of the Bookmarks at the right-hand side of the screen as I'm used to accessing them from the menu bar at the left. It's only a small thing and it can be alleviated somewhat by dropping the bookmark folders into the bookmark bar but it's still clumsy IMO.

Also with version 10 they've moved the settings box to show as a new tab and I absolutely hate that!

A good and speedy browser, yes, but I think I'll stick with Firefox has it just has fewer annoyances and version 4.0, even in RC state, is very fast and stable.

Chrome's been ok so far, no crashes.

Also noticed it uses a new version of flash...10.2.154.18 compared to the 10.2.152.32 that the fox uses.
