From the things I've read over the last few months and the many cuts they propose it seems a real possibility. Just thought I'd leave this here
To answer the question for the video, they just need to turn on BBC to see what a government-controlled BBC looks like.
I don't get it, what's been proposed or changing? The BBC is, has, and probably always will have a right wing bias so i don't understand what's going to change.
well from the things I've read the many cuts that's proposed Sky would be taking over the news and although BBC isn't truly independent under Sky it would be just one big arse lick. The video did make me laugh though lol
The only truly independent channel has been Channel 4. Unfortunately, they acknowledge this fact, and play on it so much, that they are as far left as is physically possible. It's quite sickening at times. The best choice, is and always has been, CHANNEL 5!!!! RED SHOE DIARIES!
While most on the right of centre consider the beeb to have a left wing bias! IMO, the fact that both side consider it biased against them might be taken as a rather good indicator that it is independent. If you to know what government controlled news looks like you can take a look at RT News to look at.
Not casting aspersions on their independence as i don't have a clue how much influence ministers have on them, but for some reason research has shown the BBC to actually have a right wing bias.
The BBC are really quite right wing, until it comes to ministerial debates. They drag Dimbleby out of the woodwork, and his attempts to bring a leftist point of view to a supposedly neutral adjudicator are so thinly veiled that it's verging on rice paper thin. The man is an embarrassment. FYI, I'm right wing, but not farrrrrr, just a bit off-center.
I'll just leave this here... https://theintercept.com/2015/10/26...with-incredibly-dishonest-and-biased-editing/
