GPU2 or GPU3 for HD4870?

    Just a quick question, what GPU client would be best? I've not seen any comparisons between GPU2 and GPU3 on AMD cards.

    GPU2. GPU3 is for Fermi-based cards.

    There is no performance gain from one to the other. GPU3 simply offers more compatibility with newer cards.

    One_Box, the CAL architecture that ATI uses is the same from GPU2 to GPU3. The major change was simply the change for Fermi-based cards using the CUDA architecture. Hence, there's no difference for ATI from GPU2 to GPU3.
