    Hi folks,

Presently I'm using two 8600 in SLI which coped with most tasks.

Now I've got a 26 inch monitor with a native 1900X1200 resolution and they just do not cut it.

I need to upgrade but am kind of stuck.

I've got about £150 to blow on a graphics card and the new 4770s look pretty good.

However, I will not be able to run two of these card later if I want to.

Any advice on what to go for in this price range?

    Cheers!

With that budget I myself would get a GTX260 (216 core version).

But what is the rest of your rig like? You might get more of a boost changing MB and getting lesser gfx card and applying a nice OC to the CPU.

    Welcome to the forum BTW.

Oh, also whats you PSU? Gonna need a beefy one for the gtx260.

    I presently have:

    Quad core Q6600 @2.4Ghz
    Asus P5N32-E SLI+ MB
    2*Geforce 8600 in sli
    ATX - 600w Xpower PSU
    4gb CrucialBallistix memory

Xp installed although I also have Vista I'm too lazy to install if it is any better.

My monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 2693 (my baby) and this is why I'm thinking graphics may be the stumbling block as many games flicer unless the res is down a few notches from the 1900X1200.

I'm unsure about what graphics to go for as I'm out of date with such things.

    Cheers
