When I was shopping I noticed an energiser battery stand, which had something "Lit up" at the top of it. I thought nothing of it till i looked closer at it, It was just the edge of a sheet of lime green tinted plexiglass. Light was hitting the top and coming out the edge making it look like a line of neon glowing with a cool radioactive green glow Anyway. Is there a special type of plexi for this or is it in the preperation of the edge? Im wanting to put a piece of 0.75mm thick stuff between my drives and light them in the same way, but I would like white. Doable?
Edge lighting in GlowPad: http://metku.net/index.html?sect=view&n=1&path=mods/glowpad/index_eng Also used in my Epia Sphere case: http://metku.net/index.html?sect=view&n=1&path=mods/epia_sphere/index_eng3 Just use green led and it should give you a nice glow. Sand the edges or areas you want to have that effect and it should work fine.
there's also UV reactive (flourscent) types of acrylic. I got variety pack from one of my favorite suppliers here in the states. I have pics of all the colors here
