Hi Guys. I've been having some problems with my graphics for the past month. As of about 2 driver updates ago (R9 Fury), I've been getting green screens where either the graphics drivers have died, Wattman crashes, or it green screens or just freezes in game (even freezing on chrome). As of last night, I'm now getting a red screen (blank red, no text) right after the login page and before the desktop loads. I've gone through several troubleshooting methods: mem check (1 or both sticks) BIOS updates Uninstalling all graphics drivers Switching to purely onboard graphics (Maximus VI Hero) SSD / HDD checks/defrags. It has also started to crash/restart after a few minutes in windows (I've checked temps: graphics nominal at 30-40*, CPU a bit warm, but nowhere near crash levels) and when it autorestarts it just shuts down immediately and attempts to restart again. I created a new admin account and loaded into that, and it didn't appear to get the red screen, though I will have to doublecheck tonight, so it appears there is something wrong with the windows/graphics settings on my main account. (only new things installed/downloaded have been games on steam or graphics/windows updates) Current plans for tonight: Disconnect extra HDDs (format useless ones) Format/reinstall windows on SSD Few other bits and pieces to try. Anyone got any suggestions on things to look at or tests to run? **Checked the event log last night, all Critical failures were Kernel Power 41 I'll get my full specs on later, but what I can recall from memory: CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor MOBO: Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI HERO Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard GPU: Radeon R9 Fury PSU: Corsair TX850W RAM: 2x4GB (I believe hey are Kingston HyperX) Storage: OCZ SSD (240gb), 2x WD Black 2TB HDDs, 1x random 750gb hdd)
