Isn't this more of a software issue? If so, wrong board... But regardless, you can set when Windows updates using the 'Automatic Updates' thing in the Control Panel, you can set the time, or if you want it to ask you before it does anything, etc.
Ahh yeah it's a habit from the Hexus forum Everyone just uses hardware forum for most stuff there. And thanks yeah I found that out about the updates. I have it set up to download and ask me when to install now. Previously it used the recommended setting which was to just do it immediately. I just wish I knew this before copying all that data. Oh well. I didn't lose anything anyway, just time some time.
