Hi All, This is a bit of a random one ... I sold one of my 580s before the 680's came out, and now am ready to sell the other. When I swapped it over with the new 680, I noticed that the sticker had come loose. I tried taking it off, and it has made a gawd awful mess. This photo obviously uses the light to significantly highlight the problem, but you get the idea. I don't seem to be able to clean it up. This will effect the re-sale value, so I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could get a new sticker that would fit nicely on this card? The card itself works well, so it would be a shame to lose money due to this ... Thanks for any tips!
I use these for removing the left over glue from stickers, Works brilliantly, You can buy them anywhere http://www.amazon.co.uk/WD40-Pen-7-7ml/dp/B002SPFMGM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333280176&sr=8-1
Does it not affect the plastic in any way? Could definitely do with something like this in my toolbox
Or Isopropyl alcohol, stuff you use to remove thermal compound works fine too Edit: Not sure where to get a sticker though
No it doesn't affect the plastic at all, I use it all the time on anything I need to remove the gunk left from stickers This will melt the plastic
What? When has Isopropyl alcohol ever melted plastic? Yes the ethanol in it is an organic solvent but nowhere near enough to melt plastic. I have wiped several keyboards and other plasticky stuff with Isopropyl alcohol and never had a problem.
Sorry your right just the same the WD40 pen is the best I've tried lots of things and its definitely the best most of these things turn the glue into a sticky blob the WD 40 pen gets it of clean seals up the stickyness
what brand was it? don't see why it would affect reale value, my KFA2 580 is completely blank because i bought it on release week.
It's Inno 3D. It just either needs to be cleaned up or have a new sticker put on it. Sounds like I will be cleaning it and selling blank.
