it sure looks like a car that only 50 or 51 were ever made of...I think in the year of 1947 or 1948, that looks like the a$$ end of a Tucker.
That's why I chose that particular area. I was hoping it would last longer. How long ago did you last have a woodie, John?
having seen Tuckers twice in my life in person (heard one of them running and driven at Barrett Jackson in Arizona) the rear grill and fender shape was unique enough to stick with me, same as the front fender of the Henry J.
I never understood what all the fuss was about 4 hours - seems natural. Back to the car. Made in the US. Plywood for floor. Think 2CV john
Hint: 50mpg, 2 cycle engine, real tendency to fall over going around corners too fast. Only engine we could find to fit was original Chevy II 4 cylinder with 3 spd trans and Chevy rear end. Drive shaft was 12" long. Yeah another racer. Only part we kept was the body and the name. john
My next one when I win is scary. I was a mechanic in the 60s and thought I have seen every US car made since God and I were young. I found an American car I've NEVER seen. Small camera phone pics but it will be fun. jo
IS! Go. I have a car from the parking lot at Toys R Us that I cannot find on the interweb! If I can't find it even knowing what it is - it must be rare as frog fur. /edit less than 200 made - found it I did. My Google Fu is strong. john
anyone that is ready can go, I was dealing with a downed tree due to a windstorm last night. cannot post clue from here. I will need to keep a good one in reserve for next time.
