honestly they look so crap and 90s. I f you have £130 to spend, get a half decent stereo amp and some book shelf speakers and it would sound 100 times better than these.

How do these compare with the Klipsch Promedia 2.1?

I wonder what the chances of Harmen Kardon sponsoring someone to build a PC case to go with this? Could probably get ASUS in as a sponser as well with an audiophillic soundcard.

People, it has been requested, go forth and mod!!

I picked up the Creative alternative on your recommendation a few months ago and haven't looked back.

(Yes, I also read "Hardon", why is that?)

They look absolutly revolting, and they had these in PCWorld (or something with the exactly same sub) about 8 years ago.

Hmm, look like something out of a 1960's sci-fi programme.

When will designers realise that when you buy something for a specific purpose, you buy it for that purpose alone? I would buy the ugliest speakers ever designed as long as they were good at what they were supposed to do and thus what I am buying them for - to reproduce quality sound. If they look good on top of that, then that's a bonus.

Design should enhance the look and/or function of the equipment you are buying, not impede it.

I would like to say about speaker, like all speaker are good but just a thing is that how proper we use. I know, Brand always matter but use also important.

I've always wondered what it felt like to have something everyone else took the piss out of.
Not anymore! Though in my defense they look better in the flesh. Sound could be a little better though at high volumes.

My mate said they looked gay but then he has an iPhone so anything he says is void.

PS Bit-Tech be a little quicker with your review next time, I git mine months ago!

Why on earth would people take the piss out of them? I had my set delivered to the office and was lucky to make it home with them!

    no problem

there you go! 130 quid, or you could probably get something similar from ebay for £50 for the amp, and maybe spend more on speakers. I run an old Rotel RA-921 stereo amp with FLAC as source and the sound quality is amazing. I'm going to soon get an Onkyo surround sound amp which can be purchased for £280-£300 with all the speakers included. For sure it wont be audiophile sound quality, but it will be 100 times better than these gimmicks. Hope this helps.
