HD red led bleeps 1nce pmnt

    Corsair twinx 1024-3200 DDR400mhz SDRAM 2x512mb
    MSI 6600gt 128 PCI-E
    Maxtor sata 160mb
    PSU 400w
    XP sp2
    X45

    Recently Sata 160gb HD red led flashes apprx 1 @ mnt.

    HD 3m old, 90% unused, otherwise works OK.

    AVG free Virous check OK.

    Anybody knows the reason? nick

    Uhm... Details?

    It's got a flashy light and suddenly it's started? Think of checking the HD's data sheet? Or have you tried using a SMART diagnostic program?
