We're looking at building a high-end Xeon based workstation, I've put together a list of components but I'm stuck trying to pick an appropriate heatsink/fan for the Xeons.
I guess these are the components of interest:

    CPU: 2x Intel Xeon W5580
    Motherboard: Supermicro X8DAI Intel 5520

I had been considering the Noctua NH-U12 DX which apparently supports the Xeons, but I can't be sure I'll get the right model from Scan so I'm looking for an alternative. The problem I've got is whether or not I can use any S1366 (i.e i7) cooler. I'm under the impression that the i7 motherboards rely on a bolt-through setup and the Xeons have something to screw the cooler to.
The bit-tech review of the cpus (here) says:
    So I'm confused...

Does anyone have any experience building a S1366 Xeon machine?
