I have a bit in an electronic calculator/head of a petrol pump thats gone pop and because its an uncommon pump im not up on its foibles. Its been sitting for a long time and there was a lot of dampness in the enclosure but its been dried for a few weeks in my workshop. Ive put 240v into it to test it and it powered up fine but then a component popped and im not sure what it is or does as the model is alien to me It has on it PMR 2026 its made by Rifa IT also has RC Unit on it and on the back is the rating 630v dc /250v ac what does it do and any idea why it would pop its been wired into a solid state relay that operates a 240v single phase motor if it helps thanks __________________
do you have any pictures of the thing that popped? if it was a capacitor that got water in it, it could have not been dried out... or something similar.
This is the closest thing I could find to it. Will need to do more searching for a supplier with a smaller minimum order.
