    Morning folks
I currently have a ROG CH7 board with a Ryzen 2600X, 32GB ( 4x 8GB ) Adata D60G 3200, XPG GEN3 512 M.2 ( + 1X1TB, 1x 500GB storage ) and an EVGA 2070 Super. However due to a recent RM850X crow barring on me, I am having issues where the CPU is locked to 3.9GHz.No matter what I do it will not budge above that, If I try the system becomes unusable.
I returned the PSU to Amazon who after discussions paid out on the damage giving me Amazon vouchers to replace the board and CPU with out excepting liability, So I decided to go for the Strix X570-E board and try to use the rest towards a new 5600x, which is where my issues lie and resulting in my question here.
    1. Is the Strix X570-E a decent board or should I have gone for the ROG CH8?
    2. Should I try and hold off and wait till Amazon themselves stock the 5600X ( im not paying £60 - £110 over RRP to the profiteer selling the 5600X on Amazon at the moment ) or would a 3700X be a decent jump up in performance?
    3. I would love the Adata Gamix s70 1TB drive however can't find one anywhere, So could someone recommend a decent GEN4 M.2 drive that doesn't break the bank please?

I mainly use the PC for Gaming, the usual social media, some PhotoShop and the odd bit of Vegas work.

The Strix E and F are basically the same as the Crosshair bar a few BIOS features and some power phases, and things like faster networking. The E or F will be fine boards, although personally I really don't like their asthetic! I'd wait for the 5600X, its such a faster CPU its a non question really! What counts as a reasonable SSD price for you?

Thank you. I needed someone else to say the same thing as my sensible head said, he doesn't say much but I should listen when he does.:grin:. As for the SSD I was thinking around the £100-£150 mark and hopefully get a deal on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Technically it will be the wife's present to me for Christmas.

Personally I go for a MP510, because it has bonkers endurance and life time (1700TBW, 1,800,000MTBF) while still being gen 3 fast and affordable. And thats the thing, gen 3 is still more than fast enough.

On the SSD front there is probably minimal real world benefit to Gen4. I have a 970 pro and it is lightning quick for game loads (always first in the server!) and I certainly don't find myself ever close to saturating the bandwidth but I don't do much in the way of large file transfers (which you might do with video work).

Save the money on the SSD and get the 5600x if you prefer FPS or get the 3700x if the extra cores help in the software you use.
