    Hi All

I think its about time to upgrade my PC (spec below).

I'd like to just upgrade the graphics card and am leaning towards a GTX670

I play a fair bit of BF3 using my GTX260, but set the resolution on my monitor down to 1920x1080 and play on medium settings, which has been alright, but I can notice it struggling since I got the Close Quarters Expansion.

Do you think this is the right choice - would that be sufficient to run BF3 at good settings on a native resolution of 2560x1440?

Is my CPU still powerful enough to feed that GPU and maintain good frames?

Also, which card would you recommend?

    Thanks, :thumb:

BF3 is really GPU bound - so your cpu is perfectly fine (heck its faster than pretty much everything AMD can make anyway!)

what psu do you have? and yes the GTX 670 is an awesome piece of kit , its within 10% of the gtx 680 performance - which is similar to a PAIR of GTX 480`si in SLI!

if you want to upgrade - SSD`s are really very cheap now and a heck of a boost , if you want to max it , a pcie sata 3 card are also quite cheap.

as an example ;) or for max futureproofing without changing your board then an ASUS A3S6 (sata3 and usb3) on pcie 4 could be an idea?

    Bequiet 650W Dark Power Pro

Do I need to overclock my CPU any further?

Also, which 670 would you recommend, I like the idea of the non-reference cards which upgrade the reference design with better PCBs etc, but are they worth the value?

Also, it needs to fit in an Antec 300!

Re the SSDs, I don't know much about the hassle of moving an OS install over to an SSD from my current HDD, so leaning away from that...haha

GTX670 and up is where you'll be aiming at. That monitor is a monster to run BF3 at.

I have this card and my PSU is a Be Quiet! Pure Power 650w which is (I think) a lesser one than yours, so you will be fine on the power front.
